2012 saw Sebastian Vettel named the youngest ever Triple World Champion at the age of 25.

He becomes only the third driver to ever win three consecutive Drivers' Championships behind, Juan Manuel Fangio (4) and Michael Schumacher (5).

The Heppenheim born driver has dominated the sport in recent years and comparisons to fellow countryman, Michael Schumacher have been earned.

Vettel, who has now started 101 Grand Prix grew stronger throughout the 2012 season and will undoubtedly be looking to hit the ground running in this years' Melbourne season opener.

2. Mark Webber

36 year-old Mark Webber will start his 12th season in Formula One since his debut for Minardi in 2002.

Australian, Mark has been criticised in the closed season by RedBull advisor Helmut Marko who accused Webber of, 'falling into a downward spiral.'

Marko told the teams in house magazine RedBulletin:  "It seems to me that Webber has on average two races per year where he is unbeatable, but he can't maintain this form throughout the year."

"As soon as his prospects start to look good in the world championship, he has a little trouble with the pressure that this creates. In comparison with Seb's rising form, it seems to me that Mark's form somehow flattens out. Then, if some technical mishap occurs, like with the alternator for example, he falls relatively easily into a downward spiral."

Webber dismissed the comments claiming he has 'never been part of Marko's agenda.'

Having secured his seat for this year Webber will undoubtedly be looking to silence his critics. Driving the number 'two' car this year, Webber will be aiming to be more competitive in qualifying and battle with younger team-mate, Vettel for the Championship.
